in turn were told that if they didn't boycott Billboard, they would be blacklisted by DAVID GEFFEN's record company, and LENNON's future songs. (He recorded quite a lot before his death.) Now_ GEFFEN must be one of the most horrendous types that ever was allowed lo walk on this earth. I find him particularly repellant because he is an arse-licker and groupie par excellence, a phoney, very greedy, and a 'trendy'. He is also
inhumanly ugly, something that tells more about a person's inner self than a thousand words. YOKO ONO directed the arse- licker to start the blackmail of preventing companies advertising in Billboard because a writer in that magazine wrote that Lennon was arrogant, and impossible louse. So, the Jap even has the power to stifle free speech. Well, I hope for her sake she reads what I have been writing since she became a widow. Perhaps she'll blackmail me.
The press keeps writing about Lennon's death and what a loss its been. If Mozart had died, or even a great artist like COLE PORTER, they probably would have let the obituary column take care of it. Or, about the hostages. Ye gods, what a pity the dreadful Iranians didn't eat them all. After all, that's what used to happen to diplomats in the past. then we could go in and flatten Iran once and for all. Not a single word of sympathy has been written about the American pilots who spent more than
seven years in Vietnamese prisons, suffering horrible torture. But the ludicrous diplomats - who even broke-down and asked that the Shah be sent back - are now being treated as if they had done something cqurageous. What's so great about being taken prisoner by a scum-bag mob likethe Iranians?
I hope I haven't hurt any groupie feelings, but if I have, you know what you can do. And hard, too.

Dear Anonymous Exquisite,
It was so sweet of you to bother to send
me such a dear 'notette' pointing out my 'party pooping' attitude. •
. I'm afraid I have to admit that I was in fact not invited to either of the parties that
, you mention (not even a 'lost in the post' would you believe) and though this might
be a terrible admission of social failure I'm sure you wouid agree that there could be no better reason for being beastly and
•bitchy ..
I'also have to agree wit, hyou that LA DY
MELCHETT, who is a wonderful and charming person, probably did indeed spend weeks planning a marvellO[!S occasion but I'm sure my silly words didn't really hinder anyones enjoyment of su.ch a glittering party.
I'm also sure LADY MELCHETT must have been much'more upset about all that silly business between Vogue and Tatty Bystander. .
Can you imagine how upset you would be if after all that arranging for exclusive picture coverage in Vogue, Tatty Bystander suddenly sneaked some pictures and ran them first and then Vogue re(used to run any at all and .. .'Oh My God! I\ must have

been TERRIBLE!
